"GENERAL MEDIATION COURSE"

The "GENERAL MEDIATION COURSE" is designed to prepare everyone who wants to become a professional mediator, as well as for the management and employees of companies whose activities are related to the resolution and prevention of disputes and conflicts.
To carry out the activities of a mediator on a professional basis, in accordance with subparagraph 1) Paragraph 4 of Article 9 of the Law, persons with higher education, who have reached the age of twenty-five, who have a document (certificate) confirming the completion of training under the Training Program for mediators, and who are in the register of professional mediators can.
In accordance with paragraph 6 of Article 9 of the Law, persons engaged in the activities of a mediator are also entitled to carry out any other activity not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Persons under the age of twenty-five can be trained to obtain the status of a professional mediator, but they receive the right to carry out the activities of a mediator on a professional basis after reaching the age of twenty-five.

 

Before the start of the training, persons wishing to complete the training must submit the following documents:
1) a copy of the diploma of higher education (a notarized copy in case of failure to submit the original diploma for verification);
2) a copy of the identity card or passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) medical certificates from narcological and psychiatric dispensaries issued at the place of residence of the person not earlier than a month before their submission;
4) a certificate of no criminal record issued at the place of residence of a person not earlier than a month before its submission, indicating information throughout the republic.

Course format:
theoretical part with active discussion;
consideration and discussion of real-life examples; conducting practical classes, trainings, business games to consolidate the skills of dispute resolution and conflicts in social and labor relations through the use of mediation tools;
final certification and passing of the final exam through written and oral testing and mediation, in order to assess the negotiation process skills acquired by the listeners.
During the training period, students are provided with educational and methodological material on paper (electronic) media.
Persons who have received a certificate in the curriculum "General Mediation Course":
receive a mediator's certificate;
mediator's certificate;
methodical manual with a summary of the course, sample documents and regulatory legal acts on mediation;
they are included in the Register of the Republican Public Association "Eurasian Union of Lawyers and Mediators "Praktikos";
has the right to conduct practical activities as a mediator on a professional basis without the right to teach mediation.

12. Features of the negotiation process in mediation.
13. Involvement of representatives of the parties, experts and other persons to participate in the mediation procedure.
14. The concept and classification of conflicts.
15. Dealing with objections in mediation.
16. Promotion of mediation and ethical standards in mediation.
17. Foreign experience of mediation.

 

 

Duration:

The course is designed for 10-12 days, 2 astronomical hours a day.

The training takes place using the Skype platform, in the evening.
